Analytical Standards
Crocelis separates direct evidence from interpretation. Each significant finding should be traceable to a source, record, transaction, communication, or other documented basis.
Analytical status
- Verified: directly supported by identified evidence.
- Assessed: an analytical conclusion supported by identified evidence and stated reasoning.
- Unresolved: a material question remains open or competing explanations have not been eliminated.
Method sequence
- Observe before assuming.
- Gather the available record without forcing a theory.
- Correlate entities, events, sources, and transactions.
- Trace relationships and chronology across systems.
- Assess the strongest supported explanation and its limits.
- Report findings in a form that can be reviewed and challenged.
Independence
The analytical objective is not to validate a client's preferred narrative. It is to establish what the evidence supports, what it does not support, and what remains unknown.
